Overview

The Neumann MT 48 is an audio interface without compromise. With its huge dynamic range, superior converters, preamps and headphone amplifiers, it sets new standards in sound quality. Internal DSP power allows for monitor mixes with sophisticated EQ and dynamics processing -- all intuitively controlled via touchscreen.

Neumann microphones offer a dynamic range up to 131 dB(A). Yet audio interfaces, so far, offer only 123 dB(A). The MT 48 has four times the resolution: 136 dB(A)! It also delivers more gain than its competitors: Up to 78 dB. So, you not only get the best out of Neumann condensers, but any microphone, even low output ribbons. The same goes for the output side: The MT 48 comes with powerful, ultra-low impedance headphone outputs. Offering better performance than competing devices and even many external headphone amps. So, you'll always get the best out of any headphone, including, of course, Neumann's NDH line.

But it is not only premium sound quality that users need. With musicians becoming their own engineers, ease of use is a crucial factor. Not only for the user but also in sales. While most audio interfaces require a controller application on the computer, the MT 48 features a high-resolution touchscreen with an intuitive user interface. With four analog inputs and eight analog output channels, the MT 48 has everything you need for personal recording. And it can be expanded via ADAT / S/PDIF and AES67/RAVENNA to accommodate larger setups, using, for instance, Neumann AES67 speakers and Merging Technology AES67 converters.
