MIDI Solutions MultiVoltage Merger

Combine two MIDI signals minus any data delay with this two-input merger from MIDI Solutions. Best of all, there's no programming required!

The MIDI Solutions MultiVoltage Merger merges all MIDI messages appearing at its two MIDI inputs to its two MIDI outputs. All MIDI message types are merged, including System Exclusive, MIDI Clock, and MIDI Time Code messages. A fast merging algorithm ensures that all MIDI data is processed accurately with the minimal possible delay.

The Merger is MIDI-powered, and requires no batteries or power supply to operate with most MIDI products (for more information read the Power FAQs). A MIDI indicator LED lights up when the product is powered and flashes when MIDI data passes through it.

MIDI Solutions MultiVoltage products are compatible with both the original 5V and new 3.3V MIDI specifications.

I needed to combine the MIDI outputs of two keyboards (Kurzweil PC3x and Hammond SP-1) to control pitch on a vocal harmonizer (TC Helicon VoiceLive Touch.) It was essential that neither keyboard's output affect the other, but playing either (or both) needed to control the harmonizer. Opened the box, plugged it in (required 3 MIDI cables) and VOILA! Everything worked perfectly first time - and has ever since. Simple and effective solution to an otherwise impossible situation. Now if it could detect bad notes and filter them out... is anyone at MIDI solutions listening? lol.
