Marshall 1962 Bluesbreaker Guitar Combo Amplifier (30 Watts, 2x12")

Rich, classic, and highly lethal Marshall tone oozes forth from the Bluesbreaker -- a beautiful combo amp styled to sound just like an early '60s JTM45.

If you're looking to plug into some awesome '60s-sounding tube-infused tone, then the Marshall 1962 Bluesbreaker guitar combo amplifier is ready to amplify your signal. The original "Bluesbreaker" amp, built as a combo version of the legendary Marshall JTM45 amplifier, was famously used by Eric Clapton with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. To nail down that early-'60s sound, this amp features two reissued 12" Celestion G12M Greenback speakers, three ECC83 preamp tubes, two 5882 power amp tubes, a GZ34 tube rectifier to keep your sound warm and full of color, presence, bass, middle, and treble controls, independent volume controls for each channel, and onboard tremolo with speed and intensity controls. If blues or rock is the name of your game, then this Marshall amp is right up your alley.

A Combo Amp Version of the Legendary Marshall JTM45 Head

The JTM45 is often considered the choice Marshall amp of the '60s, and the original 1962 Bluesbreaker was born to fill the demand for a combo version of this trendsetting classic. Tonally similar to the JTM45, the Bluesbreaker adds its own character via those two Celestion G12M Greenbacks. If you're looking for a powerful blues sound, or if you're looking to shake the stage with some bright and forceful rock with a throwback hue, then fire your axe through this machine of tone and hear it sing.

Dials and Controls

Your Marshall Bluesbreaker guitar combo amp features three-band EQ controls to help you shape the brightness, darkness, read more and punch of your signal. Presence controls on guitar and bass amplifiers act a bit like a low-pass filter, determining how much higher-frequency energy is fed back before your signal hits each speaker. This amp also features a footswitchable tremolo effect with speed and intensity controls.

Warm Tube-Infused Sound

Once your guitar's signal hits your Marshall 1962 Bluesbreaker, it's fired through three ECC83 preamp tubes and two 5882 power amp tubes to get some irresistible vintage coloration before passing through both 12" Celestion G12M Greenback speakers. A GZ34 tube rectifier provides a natural-sounding compression and lingering sustain. With this sweet combo amp, your sound will maintain a consistent character no matter how hard you like to push your signal.

Marshall 1962 Bluesbreaker Combo Amp

After the huge success of the Marshall JTM45 amplifier, a 2 x 12" combo version was released to satisfy popular demand and the now legendary 1962 Bluesbreaker combo was born. Once again the use of a GZ34 valve rectifier is responsible for helping to achieve the famed output stage compression and sustain exhibited uniquely by both the JTM45 and 1962.

Though tonally similar to a JTM45, the 1962 combo is loaded with two re-issue 'Greenback' 25 Watt speakers to re-create that classic sixties tone. The 1962 'Bluesbreaker' combo also comes with addition of a footswitchable Tremolo effect.
