This is my first accustic bass, so my experience is limited, however this bass is beautiful. The details with the inlays and the frets, finish and overall appearance, amazing. The sound quality is perfect for what I wanted (sit on couch or at camp) and have something fun to play. The hard case also very well constructed and the bass fits like a glove. I would recommend this to anyone looking for and accustic bass.
