I purchased this keyboard because I needed a MIDI controller for my studio. The sliders and knobs feel good, but the keys are cheap and it is reflected in the price. The unit is lightweight and easy to use, the controller is recognized by most DAW software on the market and the USB connectivity makes setup real quick. Now, the reason I give it mediocre reviews in terms of features, value, and the wow factor is because it does not have ANY MIDI ports on it whatsoever. No sound rating because the unit does not reproduce sounds. For $160, I hoped I would at least get a MIDI OUT port. No In, Out, or Thru ports on this unit severely limits its use in my studio. I would describe the unit as a USB controller, because it will not interface with any MIDI devices whatsoever.
