A 2004 inductee into the Modern Drummer magazine's Hall of Fame with a 12-year run as the best progressive rock drummer in the magazine's reader's poll, as well as various live and clinic awards, Mike Portnoy certainly knows his way around a drum set.

- An 11 inch Mike Portnoy Max Splash cymbal

- A long sleeve Mike Portnoy t-shirt

Mike Portnoy: In Constant Motion
This 3-disk DVD features over seven hours of drum instruction, as well as live and studio performances of virtually all the music he's been involved with since his award-winning Liquid Drum Theater video. Packed with state-of-the-art audio and video, special features, and printable transcriptions of selected performances, the depth and diversity of these tutorial DVDs are unprecedented and recommended for drummers of all interest and ability levels. The first disc focuses on music from the last three Dream Theater albums; the second disc covers his work with TransAtlantic, OSI, and all four of his tribute bands; the last disc features bonus material, including tracks from Dream Theater's 20th Anniversary tour, live drum duets with special guests, and more.

This 11 inch splash is one of Portnoy's odd-size signature models known for their rapid, glossy response, cutting penetration, and fast, punchy accenting.

Long Sleeve T-shirt
This shirt is extra large like Mike's playing abilities, with a charcoal body and gray sleeves and neck area. A facsimile of his signature and symbol in gray sits on the right chest area, while the words Carpe Diem are neatly scripted in black along the left sleeve, a reflection of his tattoo and outlook on life.

ProMark Drum Sticks
The sticks included in this package are a rare treat. These particular TX420N's are Mike's personal stage sticks and cannot be bought anywhere, other than with this promotion, or if he were kind enough to hand them to you after a gig. They're 16 1/8 inches long, made of hickory and are slightly smaller in diameter (.531 inches) than a hickory 5A with a 747 taper and nylon tip.

The Mike Portnoy Percussion Kit
This percussion kit consists of an LP Rock Ridge Rider Cowbell, based on the LP Rock Cowbell. It features a red Jenigor plastic bar across the top edge, secured firmly with specially designed rivets. The Jenigor bar has a damping effect and, in addition, protects the bell's metal edge from denting. According to Mike's preferences, the LP Rock Ridge Rider Cowbell is somewhat higher in pitch than the LP Rock Classic Ridge Rider bell. It has all the body of the traditional rock bell but with a little more high-end cut.

The other instrumental half of the kit is also essential for capturing both the sixties sound and the range of tonalities in prog: the LP Mountable Cyclops Tambourine. This is the most ergonomically designed, comfortable, and durable tambourine ever produced. Its rounded edges provide extra durability against sustained drumstick striking, while nickel-plated steel alloy jingles deliver the bright, projecting sound that defines British pop. A patented jingle-pinning system locks the jingles in place. Because of its design, the LP Cyclops Tambourine will last much longer than ordinary tambourines. The inclusion of LP's forged eye-bolt assembly enables secure placement on standard 3/8 inch diameter rods, or on hi-hat stand pull rods.

Also included in the percussion package is an LP Mount-All Percussion Bracket, which includes a black powder-coated Z-rod that is ideal for any 3/8 inch diameter mountable percussion.
