I may be a little partial considering that I have been using Korg synths as early as 1988 but this workstation I can tell that Korg put a little more thought in to than some prior music workstation synths. Considering also how the Korg M3 was abandoned with system upgrades... It will be almost instant inspiration and the synth sounds and drum sounds are just about endless and I cannot tell if it really is a budget version of the Kronos. It does take a while to start up which I do not mind and is very stable but I do not advise letting it run too long unless the A/C is on or a fan blowing nearby it will run a little warm but it does have internal cooling fans. I just wish Korg would have offered a larger internal SSD, more space to load in optional sound libraries or an upgrade package option although I have heard of some folks cloning and switching out the SSD. You will be available to save to USB and transfer all of the contents to other HDD or SSD with the built-in FTP. This is not a toy though you will not find it at Walmart. Enjoy
