"JBL Partybox 1000"
I will probably buy a second one. If you can budget one of these into your life, you may also find yourself feeling the same way. in some situations I find myself thinking that a bass cut option would also be nice, as well as even limited EQ capability. I don't find I need the bass boost very often. Kids enjoy the DJ pad. For nonprofessional use, I think this thing is fantastic. I think a pair could be the basis for a light duty, stripped down DJ rig, and the unbalanced line outs could be pressed into service to feed more powered speakers, or even two more of these, spaced closely together. XLR ins and outs would make this seem like a more serious product, but the sound speaks. for. itself. Yes, there is an active EQ that cuts the bass after a certain level, but the bass is so strong and forward anyway that you don't find yourself feeling much of a lack in the moment. And for reasonable neighbor friendly use, most people won't be maxing this out because there's not much of a need. But it's nice to have the capacity to help thump a rager deep into the night. For medium to larger rooms or small outdoor events, these would be great. Due to the integral down firing subwoofer, there is no pole mount option. I can live with that, and once again we see the slant toward consumer use in the design choices. These put out a lot of sound and the bass isn't lacking, but there will be no easy, safe solution to get them above head level for most applications. So far, I'm very pleased with this read more and do want a second one. I like the option of stereo sound. And louder on top of loud can't really hurt. . . unless your neighbors take offense, which they might. This isn't professional gear but in the bluetooth party speaker category it reigns supreme in my opinion and it does have a price tag to match that status.
