The Iron Label line was originally developed with metal and nothing but metal in mind. Ibanez modded and tweaked until Ibanez got to the heaviest-hitting metal axes they've ever built. They're purposefully spartan, and you won't find a feature here that doesn't contribute directly to a bone rattling, earth shattering tones these guitars pump out. Carrying forward that same philosophy, the next generation of Iron Label guitars take this raw metal energy to a completely another level. They sport totally blacked out looks, and their supercharged electronics amounting to some of the heaviest-swinging metal axes.

This guitar was everything I was hoping for and more. I play a pretty broad variety of metal and this guitar has it all covered. I'm the type of guy that will watch dozens of reviews before I decide to buy a guitar. Especially one over $1k. This guitar is worth every penny. It came perfectly set up to my liking and the intonation is spot on. It only took minutes of bending to stretch the new strings out and the Gotoh locking tuners hold it in tune. I play with a heavy hand and do tons of bending and pinch harmonics a she stayed in tune. I play through a Blackstar Club 40 tube amp and it's the perfect combination. I put a DOD distortion pedal in the fx loop to get really gnarly but it's pretty dirty enough with the Dimarzio pickups and gain setting on the amp. This guitar will make you feel like a better shredder. The only thing I would like is a little more variety in color options but hey you can't go wrong with all black. Of course zZounds makes this easy to pay for without a hit on your credit.
