I play mostly electric, so this guitar will fill the need for a while. If it were lost or stolen, I would probably get another. Great first guitar or the one to take out if you need good sound, but don't want to risk your $$$$ Martin.
Sound
I've been shopping acoustics for a few months. Played a number of different models ranging from $150 to $1000+, from Fender to Takamine to Martin and others in between. I'm kind of picky, I guess. Unplugged, this guitar has excellent sound, maybe a tad on the bright side. Different strings might make a difference. Even so, the sound is good, well balanced and fills the room nicely. Plugged in, the sound is excellent as well. Electronics are some of the best that I had used. There is plenty of volume and the output is clean. The EQ and Shaping allows sound to be tailored to fit with about any amp. Tried in the store with Roland acoustic amp and other small acoustic amps. Also works well with my Marshall TSL60.
Features
As mentioned earlier, the electronics are very good. I would like to have seen it come with a strap lug on the body somewhere by the neck.
Quality
There were two of these in the store, and I played both of them. I found the quality to be consistant between the two. Nice looking. Doesn't say "cheap guitar". Haven't had any problems with finish yet. Tuning heads seem to be of good quality.
Value
Very good value. Worth the money.
