I went with this one to replace the 2003 RG120 I got rid of. I shouldn't have because it was one of the best beginner guitars I ever owned. It had an amazing feel and it sounded good. It had low frets and I didn't want to replace them. So, for a 24-fret guitar with tremolo (I play lead and prefer both) that's budget friendly, you cannot go wrong with these. These are on the same level as Jackson JS series. (Even Squire's are getting better...but Epiphone??? Not the same late '90's early 2000's quality. Too much of a foreign feel, unless they're Korean). It arrived well packaged, and it was clean out of the box-and blemish-free.Of course, it needed a set up to my specs, but I liked the way the strings were wound (more than 2 windings), the truss rod needed little adjustment, all the screws are solid and torque well. The action gets incredibly low without buzzing. It has a good feel and the Purpleheart fretboard looks and has almost the same feel as ebony. The Infinity pick-ups pair well with both basswood (basswood has very good sonic properties but gets a bad rep because it's so inexpensive) and sound good paired with alder. If you're looking for a good practice guitar with all the pro features without putting the wear-and-tear on your expensive gear, you won't go wrong here. Thanks zZounds.
