zZounds Gear Experts Say...
3-piece neck. Light ash body. ATK triple-coil pickup.

Not everyone needs a sleek, narrow necked bass like the Soundgear. Which is why Ibanez first came out in 1995 with the ATK (short for "attack," the aggressive ATK's defining characteristic). Unlike the Soundgear, the ATK is big–with the big, bold tones you get from a traditional big neck and big body. But the ATK is no one-trick trad workhorse. It's also versatile and comfortable thanks to its unique electronics and physical layout. In other words, the right choice for blues, hard rock, country players and anyone else who wants every single plus of a traditional bass and more.

years.
Sound
Great crisp tone or loose boomy the knobs and switch give you a wide variety of tones and they all sound great. what i do is keep the bass knob highest , mid at a little below half or hals, and treb a little higher than the mid and i get a good boomy yet crisp sound.
Quality
good wood, bad electronics and screws. the pickup wasnt screwed in all the way, the soddering job was done by a 2 year old and hafl he screws were stripped. easy fixes but annoying.
Value
got it for 250 instead of 600, great deal.
The Wow Factor
sexy red sparkle. shiny and red, what more could you ask for.
