Hartke AK4 4-String Bass (Black)

The Hartke name has come to be associated with outstanding bass amplifier tone and masterfully high production quality. The AK line now has a new member, with the addition of the AK4, which is a 4-string version of the popular AK5. It features a basswood body with a sleek "belly cut" design. Appropriately named, basswood is desirable material for a bass guitar body, due to the sustain it gives. The 24-fret neck is made of Maple and has a Rosewood fingerboard. Two "Soap-bar" pickups drive a 2-band active EQ for precise tonal control, and the Chrome bridge is of heavy-duty construction.
