With its classy looks and a trio of P90 pickups, the Guild Starfire I Jet 90 takes inspiration from the '50s when the hollowbody was the top dog.

What's special about this item?

Feature: What it does:
Arched maple top Smooth and warm with great resonance
Maple body Long sustain, good projection, bright tone
Thin U-shaped neck Slim shape with fast, easy-to-play feel

Roaring to the lead of the pack comes an all new contender, the Starfire I Jet90. Born from the iconic Guild models of yesteryear and raised with rebellious, free spirited individuality, the Starfire I Jet90 combines the classic Starfire body shape with the slick, rugged aesthetic of Guilds vintage 6 in line headstock. Three Guild Franz P90 pickups anchored to a chambered mahogany center block have this baby primed for everything from crisp, vintage jazz tones to open throttle overdrive. The six way rotary switch allows players to dial in their preferred P90 combination for the right amount of bite to any riff, while switch position indicator pins , in the style of 1950s Guilds, help keep the player on track. The Starfire I Jet90 comes equipped with a Guild Vibrato Tailpiece and Tune o matic bridge for added tonal expression and range of playability. Comes in satin black, satin white, and satin gold top.

This is a pretty cool guitar , p90's sound Good , vintage sounding , all 3 are at 7.05K , The Weight on mine is 7LB 12oz, its got comfortable neck shape , it does have a few QC issues : first off , it needs some decent pots the stock ones are not very good , off and on , no in between , the tuners are not that great , some are hard to turn and the rest are sloppy , easy fix , with replacement tuners , i have some wilkinson 6 in line cream button ones ill put on , and the bridge is a bit cheap , i replaced it with a allparts small post roller bridge and conversion posts, there are a few issues with the gold paint on the headstock , where they didnt mask it off and needs some buffing to make it look better , thats it , the body is really nice , , balances well on a strap and sitting, the fretboard is a gorgeous rosewood , and the frets are well dressed and level, no high ones, the Guild branded Bigsby works well especially with the new roller bridge , the rotary switch is really ok , some people complain , i like it. it comes with a little canvas guild bag with stickers and truss rod allen key , its a rocker for sure , ive played some blues, jazz and pop on it and it sounds good ,i put daddario 10's half rounds on it and it sounds fantastic , get one before they are discontinued like the polara s100.
