Overview

Guild Newark St. Starfire guitars and basses are reissues of some of Guild's most iconic semi-hollow electric instruments. Part of the Newark St. Collection of vintage-inspired guitars and basses, they faithfully honor their '60s-era legacy of exceptional quality and vibe while also adding contemporary touches that make them more relevant to today's players -- at prices working players will appreciate. DeArmond Dynasonic single-coil pickups sound bright, punchy, and clear with more than a touch of twang.

Numerous Starfire models were introduced throughout the 1960s, including both single- and double-cutaway guitars available with various pickup configurations and finishes and two basses. John Lennon, Dave Davies, Buddy Guy, Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, and Tom Fogerty all played Starfire guitars.
