i am very satisfied w/ this guitars quality. for the money even though it is not an american made guild. it seems to be one! handcrafted in china is no joke here. because of this outstanding quality I am more than willing to buy another guild at least in four months time
Sound
First and foremost, this is a solid wood guitar. simply amazing and made to perfection! its a guild! w/ the solid mahogany top you should expect a warmer sound than a bright sound made from a mahogany guitar w/ a spruce top. It is definitely a finger picking guitar. but when strum it is LOUD for a small guitar. the sound is definitely nice. It is 1/2 warm and bright. It is not a dead tone, definitely brilliant. The stock strings definitely do dull out the potential sounds of the guitar. so definitely go buy some 80/20 strings instead of these phosphor bronze strings that suck. no buzzing anywhere as well!
Features
comes w/ a beautiful case. the only problem w/ the design is that it is so low profile the guitar cannot be fitted in unless you take out the bottom strap button (removable) not a big deal but damn i wish i didnt have to take the button out everytime i needed it in its case. case is so durable! looks like a 140 dollar case. solid wood is great. grover open style tuners are solid and rigid. they will not go out of tune! bone nut/saddle only makes the sound GRAND. quality in guitar is just perfect. no flaws.
Ease of Use… read more
because it is a small size guitar. its perfect for traveling, students, songwriting, live performance. very low profile. the narrow nut makes it easy for small hands and big hands. low string height also makes it a plus!
Quality
it is a Guild people. it is remarkably handsome in quality. the grain of the wood is perfect. no flaws anywhere.
Value
the value of the guitar is just alike any guild. over time of course the value will stay the same or even go up. depending how well kept it is, the value will sustain or rise!
Manufacturer Support
i have no yet needed to deal w/ guilds customer service but i am sure its one of the best!
The Wow Factor
aesthetically this guitar is a beauty. the pickguard is not so great looking, but i removed that and wham! the beauty of the guitar is astonishing! very sexy. nice curves. nothing like a plain old dreadnought but still keeps the same tones of one. minus the mahogany top
