Inspired by the first generation of electric bass strings, Gibson Flatwound Electric Bass Short Scale strings offer the rich, deep sound of unwound steel strings that combine the feel and tone of upright gut strings with the power and clarity of steel provided by the flattened stainless-steel ribbon wire. A favorite of Jazz and R&B players, these strings provide a warm, mellow tone with an uncompromised smooth feel.
