The Parlor Rosewood EC produces superior warmth and a balanced tone due to Gibson's exceptional handcrafted construction techniques, including a dovetail neck-to-body joint, a radiused top, and traditional scalloped X-bracing. The solid Sitka spruce top is beautifully finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. The solid rosewood back and sides are finished in satin nitrocellulose lacquer and feature multi-ply top and single-ply back binding. The cutaway body delivers excellent access to the entire length of the fretboard. The satin nitrocellulose lacquer-finished mahogany neck features an Advanced Response profile that many players feel is the perfect size - it's not too slender or too beefy and sits comfortably in the hand for most players.

It is topped with a bound rosewood fretboard with an easy-playing 16" fretboard radius. The nut, saddle, and bridge pins are TUSQ, which, along with the smooth-turning gold-plated Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, help ensure rock-solid tuning stability.
