A Very Special J-45 Limited Edition Celebrating 100 Years of Gibson Flat-Tops

To commemorate a full century of Gibson flat-top craftsmanship, Gibson Custom introduces the J-45 Anniversary Limited Edition. Part of a five-model Anniversary Collection -- each limited to just 100 instruments -- this exceptional J-45 is handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, and designed to inspire players and collectors for decades to come.

This limited-edition J-45 pairs mahogany back and sides with a select bear claw Sitka spruce top, delivering the warmth, balance, and character that have defined the model for generations, along with striking visual appeal. Multi-ply binding accents the back, while the top features multi-ply binding with abalone, complemented by an abalone rosette.

The mahogany neck is carved to Gibson's comfortable SlimTaper profile and is topped with a bound rosewood fretboard featuring 20 standard frets and mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The single-ply bound headstock displays the vintage script-style "The Gibson" logo inlaid in mother of pearl and is fitted with a bone nut and gold-plated Grover open-back tuners.

A tortoise shell-style teardrop pickguard adds a classic J-45 visual touch. The rosewood belly-up bridge, detailed with pyramid-inspired carving reminiscent of early Gibson flat-tops, is equipped with a bone saddle and TUSQ bridge pins.
