Indian rosewood fretboard Rich lows, pronounced treble, and clear midrange
Burstbucker Pro pickups Alnico 5 magnets for smooth, even vintage tone

For years, the Gibson Les Paul Studio has been the choice of countless guitarists who appreciate the combination of the essential Les Paul features -- humbucking pickups, a glued-in set neck, and a mahogany body with a maple cap -- at an accessible price and without the flashier and more costly cosmetic features of higher-end Les Paul models.

Now, the Les Paul Studio has been refreshed and is better than ever. It features an Ultra-Modern weight-relieved mahogany body with a plain maple cap, a mahogany neck with a traditional heel, Slim Taper profile and a bound rosewood fretboard with acrylic trapezoid inlays, Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons, and a pair of Gibson's acclaimed Burstbucker Pro pickups wired to push/pull volume controls for coil tapping and individual tone controls for even more sonic options. Available in a variety of gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes with matching trim, this is the essential Les Paul, refined and updated for today's players.

A soft-shell case is included.

I had not been impressed with some of the quality issues from Gibson over the past few years but heard good things as of late. Gave this Blueberry Burst Studio a shot and placed the order. It arrived in one day! In a word: FLAWLESS. It is absolutely gorgeous to look at. Fit and finish were perfect. Not a flaw anywhere. And the sound? Wow! Everything anyone could want from a Les Paul. I am not a fan of body binding which is why I prefer Studios, but I do like neck binding, and this one fits the bill for me. A quick setup and string change and I have not been able to put this down since I got it. It felt like an old friend right from the start. Not sure I'd use the coil taps (splits or whatever they are) all that much but its nice to know I have them if I am so inclined to. Very or should I say, exceptionally pleased with this Gibson Studio. Good job, Gibson, and as always, exceptional service from zZounds.
