I had not been impressed with some of the quality issues from Gibson over the past few years but heard good things as of late. Gave this Blueberry Burst Studio a shot and placed the order. It arrived in one day! In a word: FLAWLESS. It is absolutely gorgeous to look at. Fit and finish were perfect. Not a flaw anywhere. And the sound? Wow! Everything anyone could want from a Les Paul. I am not a fan of body binding which is why I prefer Studios, but I do like neck binding, and this one fits the bill for me. A quick setup and string change and I have not been able to put this down since I got it. It felt like an old friend right from the start. Not sure I'd use the coil taps (splits or whatever they are) all that much but its nice to know I have them if I am so inclined to. Very or should I say, exceptionally pleased with this Gibson Studio. Good job, Gibson, and as always, exceptional service from zZounds.

This is an awesome Gibson Les Paul Studio in Blueberry Burst. It is the Les Paul Standard without a lot of whistles and bells. What it has is an unbelievable sound and a perfect out of the box setup. Its body is weight relieved making it easier to play for longer periods of time. The four colors it comes in are beautiful and are an attention grabber. The neck is this but not a "cheap thin". It feels great in my hands. Again, the sound is fantastic. Gibson designed and made this guitar with the player in mind. It's price is very affordable. It comes with a heavy duty gigbag. I chose to purchase a Gator hard shell case for mine but that is a personal choice for me. zZounds has lightning fast processing, shipping and delivery. I ordered it on a Thursday afternoon and by 10:15am the next day, it arrived. I haven't set the guitar down yet! I have been playing guitar for 57 years and I highly recommend this guitar and zZounds to purchase this guitar. What a deal and what a guitar!!

I chose the blueberry burst for my guitar. Then tried the tones this guitar provides. I fell in love. The burstbuckers with the tapping feature added gives me a variety of tones that will be put to good use on gigs and jamming at home. Gibson did a great job on this model. No complaints or issues. I love the neck on this guitar. It's a keeper.

Owned numerous LP’s over the years this is my first brand new one. The color is gorgeous… It arrived, and I am immediately took it to my local tech who happens to be one of the most fantastic on the planet and is the only person that ever is allowed to work on my guitars.. Took it to him to have everything checked over and set up, he went over it with his OCD fine tooth comb and was shocked as the set up was virtually perfect took him all over a total of about 60 seconds my turn of the knob on one side of the TOM bridge and to stretch the strings, just a little better… The finish was perfect no flaws no contamination in the lacquer no stray tooling marks on the fretboard, the fretwork was perfect, neck relief was perfect and it plays like a dream. Kudos Gibson QC on this one. First guitar I have ever bought in 40 years brand new that literally needed nothing done to it. Pick ups are fantastic and I love the neck shape and fret binding. Huge step up for Studio models and for $1,599 Gibson should sell tons of them. As beautiful as this blueberry burst is the gig bag is high quality but spend the extra money and invest in a good molded case. Thankfully, I have several SKB’s. Could not be more pleased! zZounds thanks for the Play as you Pay! This is something I would not normally be able to afford otherwise you guys rule!

"This isn't a Les Paul "Studio". No way."
I bought a Studio 9 years ago. It was a beautiful Gold Top. Finally figured out that I had to grease the nut or every time I did a string bend it went out of tune. It had to go. I saw this beautiful beast and while reluctant to buy another Studio I figured zZounds had been so good about returns in the past.....heck....why not try it. It's a lie. This isn't a Les Paul Studio. I don't know what this thing is but it's somewhere to the low mid level of the Customs I used to be able to afford and a Studio I guess. I brought it to my music room. Plugged it in and 30 minutes later threw the box away. This baby ain't going back. The pickups are classic Les Paul. The neck may be tapered but the fretboard is as flat as a custom. It's like a chess board. Yeah it's weight relieved but it's still heavy enough to make you remember what you're playing. It's beautiful! So many manufacturers have gone to cheap, flat "satin" finishes. This guitar is as gorgeous as one that costs 3 times as much. As far as looks the only thing that's bothering me is that it doesn't have the traditional treble/bass switch guard. I'll buy one tomorrow for 5 bucks. Doesn't even really need a setup. It does need me to stretch the hell out of the new strings. It's gorgeous. It stays in tune and it sounds like a f*****g Les Paul. AND added bonus! For the first time in the eight years I've been buying from zZounds, FEDEX actually delivered it on time. I should play the lottery. Pick a color. Buy this guitar. It's a Les Paul Standard without the body binding. No one second of regret after playing the hell out of it for 24 hours. I only don't give manufacturer support a high score because I see no need to call them. I wish the Wow factor had 7 stars.

This is my first Gibson Les Paul studio, "wine red". This guitar is excellent. I've played Fender, mainly Stratocaster, for 30 years. This is a solid instrument, smooth, the tone is heavenly. It fits my personality. I play blues, 60's, classic rock, and what ever you wanna jam on. The gig bag it comes with is quality. I did purchase a hard case separately, but had I know how good the bag it comes with is, I wouldn't have spent the extra money. I highly recommend this guitar, just pick a different color.

Not that thrilled with the burstbuckers at first im a jb n jazz guy then I realized this guitar can sound like so many different hard rock tones that I think if I switch pups it'll be to the 498 t 490 r combo the burstbuckers kinda grew one a bit if u use a metal zone at all can drop tune and it sounds great for modern and older stuff . I like a bit hotter of a pup tho ... been playing 30 yrs and the finish sold me on this its modern colored new and different from the rest . Im in love just need a blueberry pie to go with it cuz its sweet

I purchased Blueberry Best Les Paul Studio on Payment plan I have owned a half dozen Gibsons. The Les Paul studio with burst buckers sounds great. Before purchasing Studio I purchased a PRS SE it sounded horrible, even with USA pickups. The reason the PRS sounded terrible, they use Polyurethane top coat whereas Gibson uses Nitrocelluous finish coat. Big difference is the tone. I believe this Les Paul Studio sounds as good as a Standard.

I love this guitar. I have owned Les Paul's since my teens and have tried just about everyone that has been produced. I bought my first Gibson when I was 18, a gold top signature in 1973. This Studio just released brings me back to those days. And the price is reasonable enough for the product. There is a lot of great guitars out there, and the competition is crazy, but once in a while you run across a guitar that fits you like a glove. This blue baby looks sweet and sounds even better. Do what you will, its your money. If I buy another guitar it will probably be a studio. Goodluck everyone.

This Les Paul is nice but I don’t think it’s new it has scratches through out on the back, and why is it we get a soft shell case, it doesn’t fit it right definitely will get a hardshell case for it, I see guitars come with hard case on several guitars cheaper than this one, overall plays great
