Guitar arrived today on time. Kudos zZounds. Upon first opening I was impressed. I went over my guitar with a fine toothed comb. It is absolutely gorgeous and no flaws noted. Upon first playing it not so much. The gibson strings were absolutely dead. Could have knocked a star off for that but why ? Has nothing to do with the guitar itself. I broke out a new set of elixir strings, restrung it and OMG. My songwriter came to life. I own a Dove, J45 , J45 walnut and a D'angelico bowery (bought from zZounds) but this guitar absolutely out plays them all. I cant even Express or put into words how grateful I am for pulling the trigger on this guitar. To be honest I may sell the rest. I'm a player, not a collector. Note separation and resonance are outstanding. The action and string height dead on. Intonation dead on. I guess the one knock on this guitar comes from the onboard tuner. Not its fault though. I wear reading glasses and the display for the notes (letters) is so small it is just about useless to me. Not really an issue because on stage I use my floor tuner and when just jamming at home I tune by ear. Last but certainly not least, I just finished jamming for a strait two hours and the guitar is still in tune. Not even a minor adjustment. Absolutely the best guitar I own and surprisingly it isn't even close. Kind of glad it's an exclusive run . Very few of us will have one....lol
