Overview
Dave Mustaine, the legendary guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and founder of the Grammy-award winning and multi-platinum-selling band Megadeth is one of the most influential metal icons and riff lords of all time.
His music has inspired multiple generations of players around the world. Gibson is proud to introduce the Dave Mustaine Songwriter.
Designed in collaboration with Gibson brand ambassador Dave Mustaine, it features a slightly thinner walnut Songwriter body for playing comfort with a cutaway for easy access to the upper frets, a 24.75" scale mahogany neck with a 24 fret ebony fretboard (the first 24 fret neck ever installed on a Gibson acoustic guitar), mother of pearl teeth inlays, Grover Rotomatic tuners, a TUSQ nut, saddle, bridgeplins, and a higher output LR Baggs VTC under-saddle pickup with soundhole mounted volume and tone controls.
Vic Rattlehead artwork is featured on the pickguard and on a mother of pearl peghead inlay.
A Special Dave Mustaine custom hardshell case is included along with a hand-signed sound hole label.

"Limited Edition Dave Mustaine Songwriter"
Best acoustic I have ever owned. With fifty plus years of playing behind me, I've owned top end acoustics of the popular brands available. I've always tweaked with the necks trying to lay the strings lower to be able to play the upper register. This guitars neck is set up perfect. The fit and finish is the best I've seen. No sharp edges, nitro finish is smooth and warm. Bell tone rings, pinch harmonics, and effortless playing right out of the box. I couldn't ask for more. Three days after receiving it I was on stage seeing how it sounded in the mix. The LC Baggs allowed me to tune volume down allowing vocals to stand out or turned up for leads. An acoustic rock guitar for sure. I highly recommend this guitar for any lead player. Thank you, Mr. Mustaine and Gibson. You truely hit the mark with this one.
