The COP 1 is a very handy tool to have around any studio. If you have a DAT machine with digital optical out and you are using a digital mixer with only coaxial coaxial in, the COP 1 would be the interface to make the S/PDIF transition from optical to coaxial and vice versa. The COP1 can be used with any equipment requiring the S/PDIF coaxial to optical/optical to coaxial format conversion. It is a bi-directional box, for use with Fostex Digital Multi-trackers.
