Focusrite Forte Suite Plug-In Bundle RTAS (Macintosh and Windows)
Focusrite is pleased to announce Forte Suite, their latest plug-in since the widely-owned and highly-acclaimed d2 and d3. Forte brings the Focusrite signature sound to Pro Tools HD and HD Accel users in the shape of the ISA 110 EQ and ISA 130 compressor, the two key modules from Focusrite's definitive analog console, the Focusrite Forte.

These modules comprise a host of powerful vintage processing blocks, including the original six-band EQ, compressor, gate and expander. In addition the plug-in is scalable, including a complete channel strip, a stereo version of each module as well as a variety of set-ups for 5.1 processing, all supporting TDM, RTAS and Audio Suite formats.

"The design mission for this product was to accurately create the authentic experience of using vintage Focusrite hardware within the Pro Tools HD Accel environment," states Robert Jenkins, Focusrite's director of product strategy. "To achieve this goal we had to create unique design methods and development tools that gave us a level of plug-in accuracy never before seen. These tools allowed us to measure and compare the performance of both the plug-in design and the classic circuits at any point along their signal path. All measurements were taken simultaneously and in real time with dynamic signals. This level of design sensitivity meant that all the dynamic and real time sonic characteristics of the original circuit hardware were accurately read more recreated in the Forte plug-in design."

Forte Suite's clean and well-organized user interface has been designed to capture exactly the look of these vintage classics, vertically racked within a mahogany case. The control sets for all the modules are an exact replication of the originals, from frequency selection to side-chain and insert functionality - no dial has been left unturned. In addition, graphical representations of every processing block complement the hardware, aiding in both the operation and visualization of each.

Focusrite d2 and d3 rewrote the 'rule book' for plug-ins and provide precise models of the Red Series signature sound while introducing the simple but novel concept of the GUI (graphical user interface) representing the original front panel. A concept subsequently imitated by countless others. Focusrite chose to keep these plug-ins exclusive to the Pro Tools platform, as only Pro Tools HD Accel systems have the power to accurately represent the originals. Focusrite has chosen to continue this precedence with Forte, taking full advantage of the awesome power of Pro Tools HD Accel, and it's 192kHz-processing capabilities.

"Focusrite's original consoles and analog modules are still very much in demand but are expensive to buy or even rent." states Dino Virella, sales and marketing manager for Focusrite products in North America. "The Forte Suite of plug-ins brings these legendary analog processors to a wider audience of Pro Tools end-users and will set a new benchmark for vintage processes within the Pro Tools environment"

With Forte Suite, Focusrite is once again rewriting the rules and setting a new standard for vintage plug-in technology.
