"Love that Telecaster"

This is a beautiful instrument, have I said that enough times. I'm not sure if moving up to the deluxe would make that much difference. Read another review that stated that the S1 switching does not make as much of a difference on the Telecaster as it does on the Stratocaster, from the description it looks as if the pickup combinations are the same in both positions? I decided to go with the Standard and save a bit more, if you see a blemished item go for it you save more than a few dollars and cannot tell the difference. It definitely has that new guitar smell when you open the case :), love it.

Sound
It delivers that classical Telecaster twang that I've always wanted. I just love that sound. It's a perfect compliment to the Stratocaster that I use for recording. It doesn't have the noiseless pickups that the deluxe sports but I'm not sure what the difference would be, it's plenty quiet for recording on a computer. Maybe if your pumping up the volume through an amp it would make a difference, but the plug-ins I use simulate that pretty closely and it's fine

Features
It's a very basic Guitar as far as features go but that is what I like. I am not primarily a guitarist but I do a lot of home recording. All the effects I need I get from the amp plug-ins I use and a DigiTech RP250. What I need is a quiet and clean sound source and this guitar delivers that in spades

Ease of Use
Plug it read more in and go, what could be easier. The action is perfect out of the box, and it's just so smooth to play. Like I said, I'm not primarily a guitarist but this guitar makes me want to put some serious effort into making myself a better player, and I feel like it makes me play better. It's just so nice not to have to struggle with any dead zones on the fretboard and the notes sing.

Quality
I bought this guitar from zZounds as a blemished item, I've been looking it over for about an hour and damn if I can find anything wrong with it, not even a scratch, and at 43% off the list I couldn't have asked for a better deal. As for Fender, this guitar is top notch. I brought a MIM telecaster last year and this American blows it out of the water. I'm not sure why they sell anything but made in America guitars, oh yeah to make money.

Value
Unbelievable value, even if I had paid the full price for a brand new Telecaster. Getting it for this price makes it even better.

Manufacturer Support
The best support is making such a quality product that you never have to call them, A+.

The Wow Factor
I always wanted a made in America Telecaster and now I know why. This guitar is beautiful, the craftsmanship is top notch. Every detail of the guitar screams quality, from the pots to the switch to the pick guard to the tuners, how can you not desire something like that.
