With the '62 American Vintage edition, Fender offers a stunning recreation of one of the all-time great Jazzmasters. Complete with versatile soapbar pickups, unique lead circuit controls, and the famous floating tremolo bridge, the '62 reissue delivers everything that's earned the Jazzmaster its reputation as a guitar-player's guitar.

Unique Jazzmaster Electronics

Dial in a huge range of sounds with the onboard American Vintage Jazzmaster pickups, from shimmering Strat-like tones to robust humbucker textures. When engaged, the lead circuit enables superb definition and responsiveness for syncopated funk parts and twangy country licks. And like every Jazzmaster, the '62 reissue is a great choice for pedalheads -- the responsive electronics pair brilliantly with stompboxes, elevating your effects as few other guitars can. With the added versatility of the floating tremolo arm, there's no limit to the new sonic territory this Jazzmaster can help you conquer.

Contoured Body and Vintage Fender Style

The Jazzmaster first hit the scene in 1958 and has been dropping jaws ever since. The contoured body shape with unique Fender flair remains as potent on the '62 reissue as it did in the original Jazzmaster era. Rounding out the vintage appeal read more are an old-school tremolo lock for extra stability, Gotoh(r) tuning machines, and a four-ply brown shell pickguard.

By the '70s, the Jazzmaster was seen in the hands of pub rock icon Elvis Costello and others. In the '80s, noise rock pioneers like Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth and J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. took the Jazzmaster to new heights, particularly appreciative of how the model responds to pedals. I will keep my Oly White Jazzmaster for the rest of my life. Best guitar ever built... period
Sound
I've always been enamored with the Fender sound and the Jazzmaster is the Ferrari of Fenders. I love this guitar and the soap-bar pickups not only look great but have the best and most versatile sound out of any I've heard. I recently bought the new Classic Player Jazzmaster but after a few months of heavy use, it started to wear. I was hoping that the MIM would be as durable as the USA, unfortunately it wasn't. I know the American one would not have this problem and I was right. The only problem I had was that the low E string vibrated a little but that was a small fix, otherwise I have no complaints.
Features
The various pickups and lead/rhythm switches make this guitar extremely versatile.
Ease of Use
Solid neck, plays great.
