Fender Dhani Harrison Acoustic-Electric Ukulele (with Gig Bag)

Continuing the legacy of George Harrison's love of ukuleles, Dhani Harrison teamed up with Fender to create a tenor-sized ukulele that's ready for the stage.
Overview
Dhani Harrison has carved a unique career path as a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and singer-songwriter who is as likely to turn up performing onstage as he is scoring films or TV shows. His versatility onstage and behind the scenes has led him to collaborations with a wide range of artists, from Jeff Lynne to Ben Harper to the Wu-Tang Clan. An avid drummer and guitarist, he also grew up playing the ukulele, another integral tool in his songwriting arsenal.
The Dhani Harrison Signature Ukulele is available in two finishes, with unique fretboard inlays and engraved designs on the back of the instrument that hold personal significance to Harrison. Designed for live performance, both are tenor sized and feature a solid ovangkol top, ovangkol back and sides, and a custom 3/4" body depth. Upgraded Fender electronics include a tone knob, an additional feature not commonly included on many ukuleles, but an essential one for expanding sonic possibilities. With its distinctive build and eye-catching aesthetics to match, the Dhani Harrison Signature Ukulele will challenge you to expand your musical horizons.

"Beautiful Ukulele, BUT..."

This review is no reflection on zZounds, as the quality of the instrument comes from Fender. After waiting months for the turquoise ukulele to come in stock, we finally purchased this ukulele for our daughter for Christmas. After spending an additional $40 to get the frets dressed, our daughter finally has her Christmas present two weeks after Christmas. Fender should have never let this instrument pass through quality assurance. The fret wires were so sharp they would cut you. Every single fret had to be dressed on both sides of the neck. For the price range of this instrument, we should not have had to spend extra money for it to be playable.
