The "Wood-tone" satin finish of the DG-14SLH allows the body and neck of the guitar to vibrate more freely for maximum resonance. Because of this minimum finish, the clear low-end, robust mid-range, and sparkling high end of the solid spruce top are allowed to fully resonate, and tone is more alive and distinctive than any other guitar in this price range. Also, this instrument is noticeable lighter than comparable guitars with a full gloss finish. Strum one and see why less is really more.

Sound
I find the sound of this guitar very mellow, with some nice low end resonance. An ideal beginners guitar (which I am!!) it does exactly what I want. I had it restrung and action set up when I first got it and can't fault it. I have used it, through a microphone, into my Lexicon mpx100 effects unit.It sounds so good that my friend, who uses a 800 euro Ibanez acoustic, thought I`d taken out a loan to buy the guitar!! When I told him it cost me 80 euro, only used once and in mint condition, he was amazed. As I said before, if you are learning buy this, you won't go wrong.
