I purchased one of these almost 3 years ago now, & it’s still one of my most played guitars, even over my USA made. First of all, the feel & finish are undeniably Fender at first glance, but once you sit down to play it you realize how comfortable it is. The belly cut on the back, the thin profile neck that allows for quick upper fret access yet still feels meaty enough in your hand to feel like a real guitar. It’s incredibly versatile & might be one of the few guitars I’ve played that actually has a useable push/pull pot, the coil split sounds amazing. There are many tones stored within this instrument, & if you’ve got the right equipment it can do everything. I play in a cover band with a huge range, from classic rock to metal, & I’m not talking your dad’s run of the mill hair metal, I mean downright djenty madness. Sounds too good to be true for an Indonesian telecaster? I thought the same thing, & was pleasantly proven wrong. This guitar makes finding “that sound” a breeze, whatever that may be for you. As far as my rig goes, I favor it most through my EVH 5150 6L6 50W paired with a matching EVH 2x12 cab on the blue/crunch channel, where the true clarity of this instrument shines, while still being able to maintain a serious level of gain without sounding muddy. (No really, I play with the gain nearly 3/4 of the way cranked a majority of the time!) I cannot stress enough how much this guitar screams, even with the price being $250 more than when I bought mine read more ;) For a $1,000 guitar that can do it all, you can’t go wrong with this one. Every player I’ve met who’s got their hands on it all leave with the same review: Impressive.
