When I first saw this guitar hanging in local guitar shop I thought the blue flake was sick. I knew nothing about it at that time. (I was buying a Strat at the time) I have bought a few guitars threw zZounds and after paying off another one, I decided to finance the J. Mascis Tele. First Telecaster I've owned. I hated it at first! Lol But after playing it more, I started to see all the work Fender put in to aging it and the neck looks & feels like I've had it forever and that it was built for me! The custom shop pickups scream and this guitar sounds like no other guitar in my collection. I have over 35 guitars! I love it now!... and now I know why J. Mascis fell in love with the original. Great guitar and a super value for the price! If your looking for that Dinosaur Jr, grungy, sound. Look no further than this J. Mascis artist series Telecaster!
