For effortless playability, the quartersawn ebony neck features our Modern D profile and smooth Ultra Satin finish. Ebony 10”-14” compound radius fingerboards feature Ultra rolled edges, medium-jumbo frets, Luminlay® side dots and Graph Tech® TUSQ® nuts. I’ve have been playing since 1967. During that time, I’ve been blessed beyond what I ever deserved with nice guitars and amps ect. My first guitar was a Fender Duosonic 2, how ever, it was a student guitar, short scale and all. This ultra 2 feels like my very first electric guitar. I opted for rosewood, just because it’s that familiar feeling under the strings. This guitar is the first since that old one, that really fit my hands. It almost plays itself. To say I like it is a huge understatement!! The humbucker is life changing!! Good job Fender!!! Don’t hesitate if you feel froggy, jump!!
