The ESP LTD SC208 Stephen Carpenter 8-String is a solid guitar with great craftsmanship at an amazing price! The SC208 was designed in conjunction with legendary Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter. Featuring a basswood body with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fingerboard for a light weight but solid feel. ESP LH-308 humbuckers produce a high output signal that is full of rich harmonics and a tight bass response.

I read several reviews on this guitar, some good some bad. I decided to go for it and wow I'm glad I did. I have owned a few other 8-strings out there in a similar price range, But I just didn't really care for them. But I love the 25.5 scale for a 8 It gives so much Flexibility Low E or High A etc. The Pickups are great for stock, sound way better than the ones on the Ibanez RG8. Guitar has great sustain as well, The neck to me feels like the best neck out of all the 8 strings I played. Other than that I am very happy with this guitar and with its flexibility has opened up my world for creativity which is what it's all about. If you are looking at one of the ESP 8 strings in this price, I highly recommend them ESP is one of my favorite brands no matter how many strings.
