Great 7 string with a floyd. Black natural fade is great. Looks very nice in person. Contrast to the mahogany is wonderful with the binding. Not much of an emg fan but bought this knowing that this had everything else I wanted.First off: I am picky with guitars. I prefer a light action. Where the guitar is very easy to play and bend. I usually downtune because of this. Maybe im a wuss idk. This guitar came with the wrong radius floyd rose nut and bridge. Lowering the bridge causes the high e and low b to be the lowest in comparison to the middle strings. At the nut its very noticeable as most chords at the nut are way out of tune(compared to the normal slight warbling). The strings were also very stiff and hard to bend like it was an extended scale guitar. To remedy this I took the nut off and the floyd apart. I fine sanded the baseplate super flat. Removed the metal spacer plate between the block and floyd baseplate. My goal was to get it as flat as i could to help the energy of the strings not fight the floyd with its bad fit and finish. After doing this the strings were noticeably slinkier. I also noticed at the pivot edges the black/copper? Plating peels away after using it. Realizing this I just used the floyd while strung up from full divebomb to as far back as i felt comfortable. After doing this about 40 times i tuned up the guitar. This helped dramatically. The strings feel nice and easy to play and I now have about 80% of the guitar I originally intended to buy. Might read more replace the nut and floyd with the original since I believe this huitar might have been designed to be ised with an original floyd. Ill have to look into it further.4/5.
