First off, it is absolutely gorgeous out of the box. I noticed a little blemish on the binding of the headstock that only I can see. This is my first single cut-away style guitar and never noticed how bulky the horns were. Furthermore, the body is contured for comfort. It doesn't push into my ribs when sitting down. The neck feels fast and easy, just like my sister. The fret-work is smooth and slippery, with nothing to get in the way. It's pretty amazing actually. My guitar went to my local luthier right away. The strings came flat, but he contured the saddles and perfected the intonation for me. I enjoy both humbuckers. The jazz has a warm bouncy tone, and the JB will bite back at you if you're not careful. It will push an amp, or let an amp breathe, with a flick of the switch. The tone knob is push/pull. When it's pulled, I can't decide it it's a coil-splitter or a polarity switch. She has passive pick-ups, so I'm leaning towards a coil-splitter. I had my reservations about the Evertune bridge, but I'm highly impressed with it. There is no loss of feel once it's dialed in. I'll never have to tune it again, even when changing strings. This guitar is also light. It is balanced when it hangs with the strap draping straight down from the left shoulder, compared to being attached to a horn the pulls the strap out, putting pressure on the shoulder. With all that said, my favorite thing about this guitar is its playability. It's so easy to play. I can play better on this guitar than read more any other I've owned. This guitar doesn't impede my hands in any way. What else can I say? The tuners are awesome. There is no crackling or buzzing in the hardware. I had tighten up the input jack, but that's it. I love this guitar. I'm never selling it. I don't even like playing my other guitars anymore.
