Overview

The Epiphone Les Paul Custom has been updated. Part of the Inspired by Gibson Collection, it honors the 1950s-era classic designed by Mr. Les Paul himself in 1954 as the "tuxedo" version of his groundbreaking solidbody masterpiece.

It features an all-mahogany body and a mahogany neck with a refined Modern Medium C profile. The neck is topped with an ebony fretboard adorned with pearloid block inlays and medium jumbo frets. Gold hardware adds to the upscale aesthetic, including a gold Epiphone LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece.

Tonally, the guitar is powered by a pair of Epiphone's ProBucker Custom humbucker pickups, which are inspired by Gibson Custom's renowned Custombucker humbucking pickups. Additional premium appointments include a larger Custom split-diamond inlay on the headstock, a 60s-style Kalamazoo headstock shape, a Graph Tech nut, era-appropriate wiring, and CTS potentiometers. An Epiphone premium gig bag is also included to help keep your guitar protected when not in use and while traveling.

This LP Custom Double Gold is a truly beautiful and well-built guitar! The pickups are powerful and provide a very wide range of sounds. The ebony fingerboard is sweet and although I usually dont go for high glass necks, this one is so comfortable that the finish is not an issue. The fit and finish is flawless! The only adjustment I made was to lower the action and slightly adjust the truss rod. At $799, this is a GREAT value! Highly recommended!
