Alex from zZounds here with some things to know about these Elixir PolyWeb 8020 Bronze guitar strings. Um, so the reason I really like these guitar strings is because I do a lot of singer-songwriter music, and the 8020 Bronze coating, I feel like, gives you a very quick release when you're doing fingerpicking-style playing. For me, that's been very beneficial. It still has a pretty warm tone, but I find that they don't stick to your fingers at all. They're not a heavy, hard-to-use string. I just feel like the action and the playability of the string is very live, and so that's why I really like the 8020 coating specifically.

I stopped playing acoustic guitars almost 15 years ago in favor of electrics. I think the biggest reason was because I hated the finger noise. Well, I recently got an acoustic and pretty much immediately remembered why I had stopped playing acoustic guitar. I picked up a set of these polyweb Elixir strings last month and have just about worn them out playing so much! These Elixir strings are so smooth and slick feeling and the fret noise is greatly reduced. I love the rich mellow sound too. I have barely touched the electric guitar over the past month and have put in probably 3 hours per day on these Elixirs. The smooth playability is addictive. I really am loving these strings and just ordered 2 more sets.
