DOD Badder Monkey Multi-Circuit Overdrive Pedal
zZounds Gear Experts Say...
The DOD Badder Monkey features three overdrive circuits, each with its own distinct tone that can be blended together to produce an absolutely bananas sound!
Overview
The demand for a Bad Monkey re-issue has been strong, so DOD is enhancing the original design rather than just re-issuing it. The "Badder Monkey" will still feature its original "Bad Monkey" overdrive circuit, gain, and EQ frequencies, but also introduces two circuits: "Behaved" and "Badder". The patent-pending 360-degree "Barrel" control allows you to blend any two of the three overdrive paths, giving you the ability to create hundreds of unique overdrive combos.
The toggle switch lets you move the Bad circuit in or out of phase, or leave the toggle switch in the center position to activate Troop mode and use all three circuits at once. NOTE: When in TROOP mode the Barrel Control becomes inactive. The new "Badder Monkey" includes the patent-pending reversible StagePlate.
Get lost in your own barrel of monkeys in our DOD Badder Monkey zZounds exclusive demo:
On one side is the "Skid Pad" for keeping the pedal in place on the stage or ground. Simple remove the screws and flip the plate over to use the pre-attached "hook side" pad for easy pedalboard attachment. From a light breakup to a heavy Rock tone the "Badder Monkey" is the perfect choice. We are excited for you to experience this era of the Cage-Free DOD.

Things To Know
DOD Badder Monkey Multi-Circuit Overdrive Pedal

Hey everybody, this is Justin at zZounds and these are some things to know about the DOD Badder Monkey pedal. This is a cool update to the old DigiTech Bad Monkey, but they added a couple extra overdrive settings that you can mess with. One of them, and this is a great thing to know about it, is this barrel knob. This spins in a 360° circle, so you can blend between two different overdrive sounds at a time. There are a ton of combinations as you rotate it.
Another cool feature that’s worth knowing is the switch in the middle. In the top position it’s in phase, and in the other position it’s out of phase, so you can get some other cool fuzzy-type tones and weird EQ combinations with that. The last thing is the group mode in the middle that combines all three of the modes together and disengages the barrel knob.
So these are some cool things to know about the DOD Badder Monkey pedal.

I've played my Tube Screamer "ts80"8 since late 90s.. After 2 days of owning this"Badder Monkey" I' put the tube screamer on the Shelf. I hope this pedal sells Millions! It's incredible! I use an orange super Crush 100 head and an orange 412. I play in a metal/thrash/crossover band. This pedal tightens up my sound like you wouldn't believe!
