I've always liked Dean electric guitars and had a few in the 80s those were rock solid but didn't really no what I had at 15yr old in a garage band lol. So fast forward and I saw the exile x and pulled the trigger. Although it's not what they were in the 80s it's a solid good sounding electric guitar. Got a real Floyd Rose that I had to quickly brush up on. The finish is perfect and the neck feels great . The sound is ok I'm thinking of swapping out the pickups but time will tell. If you don't like or have the skills to work on set up etc and want to play one out of the box be aware that you may have to set up the trem system because the fret board was dry dry dry . Did I mention dry lmao. Had to adjust the Floyd to get it to sit right and also buff out the frets had gritty scratchy feels. That being done it plays fast love the 16in radius, the 2nd octave and find the Floyd Rose , once set up correctly is a blast! No tuning issues I'm just on the fence about the pickups. If I run through the Mx5 I can get the sound I want but straight through my marshall and the mids seem to disappear but could just me getting old lmao. Shout out to zZounds once again I take my hat off to you guys the best music store online by far! What they advertise isn't a gimmick or a hook this is one company that does what they say and are a pleasure to do business with!!!
