Space Body Shape
Echoing the legacy of the 80s Space basses, the Space 4 reimagines the classic… read more for the modern era. Its heart lies in the revered Artisan Bass Series, borrowing its body and neck design, but with a twist. Sculpted for comfort and boldness, the Space 4 boasts deeper contours and daring cutaways, all while embracing the liberating spirit of headless design. Individual bridge saddles and integrated tuner knobs complete the transformation, making the Space 4 a timeless icon reborn.
Bartolini MK-1 Pickups and Active 3-band EQ Preamp
The trademark Bartolini sound is preserved in the MK-1 while providing superb sound quality and value. The MK-1 delivers plenty of punchy and warm mids along with transparent and brilliant highs for a superbly balanced sound. The accompanying active 3-band EQ preamp enables players to equalize and fine tune the perfect tone with its low, mid, and high frequency adjustment knobs.
'Next Gen' Cort Logo
The modern and sleek design of the 'Next Gen' Cort logo is engraved on the body of the Space 4.
Specially Designed Hardware for Headless System
Head piece and individual bridges were carefully developed and rigorously tested to ensure maximum tuning and playing stability, as well as keeping the Space 4 as light, compact, and hassle-free as possible.
7pcs Roasted Maple, Walnut, Purple Heart & Maple Neck
Roasted maple, renowned for its focused midrange, takes center stage, bolstered by the punchy clarity of purple heart and the rich warmth of walnut. This carefully considered combination maximizes the bright, clear, and fast-response characteristics of the maple body, providing excellent clarity and transparency even in the low-end frequencies. The result is a sound that's articulate, full-bodied, and unwavering in its stability - a testament to the instrument's masterful construction.
Zero Fret
The zero fret does the job of the bass nut by setting the string height over the fretboard when being played open. The nut is still used as a guide to set the string spacing before going to the tuners. Since the nut is not responsible for the open notes, players can change to any string gauge without worrying about resizing or replacing the nut, and be free from any unwanted friction between the nut and the strings.

When it first arrived, the strings buzzed a ton, and would mute completely when I used the 1st and 2nd fret. After some tinkering, though, the buzzing and string action were fixed, it wasn't too difficult. Since then, this bass has been great! I'm trying to start a metal band with some friends, and my bass tone's very aggressive since I absolutely beat on the strings with a pick. I've hit the strings as hard as I can and they've stayed in tune. On the other side of the coin, the strings mostly stay in tune when I leave the bass sitting for a few days. Only times I've had to tune are when I leave it alone for a week or so. The tone of the bass itself is great, and very versatile thanks to the 3-band eq. I'm still tinkering around with that aggressive tone I mentioned earlier, and it's easy to forget how much of a difference the 3-band makes! All in all, great bass. Other than the setup required when I first got it, it's done me well the past six months.
