The San Dimas alder body is coupled with a bolt-on maple neck featuring a pair of graphite-reinforcement rods to resist bending and warping under environmental stresses. The speed neck profile is designed for lightning fast playing and completely unhindered position shifts, while the comfortably rolled fingerboard edges provide the broken-in feel of an instrument with plenty of playing miles on it, and plenty more to go. Perfect for faster tempos, the 12"-16" compound radius maple fingerboard hosts 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays. For regularly touring musicians, a heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel is a must, allowing for quick and convenient neck relief tweaks.

The humbucking Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 bridge pickup and single-coil Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 middle and Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 RWRP neck pickups are mounted directly to the body for increased vibration transfer. A Charvel HT6 string-through-body hardtail bridge is designed for improved intonation and enhanced sustain and resonance.

My 14th or 15th guitar via zZounds. Was looking for a Strat-bodied guitar with some single coil power at least in the neck, without feeling like I settled with a typical Player-type series sporting a Fender logo. Once I was initially drawn in by the pearl finish - reading the feature list instantly put this thing over the top! Duncan JB and a pair of SSL-6's? Are you kidding me? Locking tuners (albeit house brand), thumbwheel rod adjust, and no fussy Floyd? Jumbo frets! Hot rod right out of the box! Will adapt to the thinnish neck carve, but feels nearly identical to my Adrian Smith Jackson (no surprise there). The icing on the cake was the weight - this thing came in at approx 8lb/6oz, my sweet spot for a Strat-style guitar. Still wish these unfinished necks would be graced with either satin or oil rub for some tint in the neck, which I'll do myself. Only snafu was a shipping label mishap causing a two-day delay in delivery.
