Boss's WL-20L wireless system provides the same simple functionality of the WL-20, but without the cable tone emulation for a true flat response.

Overview

Part of the Boss WL-20 wireless series, the Boss WL-20L wireless instrument system provides a flat frequency response with no cable tone simulation.

The WL-20L model is functionally identical to the WL-20, with the exception that it eliminates cable tone simulation. This makes it the best choice for instruments where cable capacitance has little or no effect on the tone, such as an acoustic/electric guitar with an onboard preamp, a guitar or bass with active pickups, or a line-level device like a keytar or Roland's Aerophone digital wind instrument. The WL-20L also works great with passive pickups if you don't need the subtle treble roll-off provided by cable tone simulation.

The Boss WL-20L works great. Especially with small systems where no ac is available like outdoor weddings, parties, just plug in the black transmitter and the gray receiver into the mixer/amp like a Bose S1Pro and your all set. I primarily use this on nylon string flamenco guitars with a LR Baggs Dual Source (Element & Mic) or Lr Baggs Lyric Classical. I've used the WL-20L into a Lr Baggs Venue DI, Bugera AC60 all with great results. There can be at times a high frequency ring at 17/18k. The ease of use, no batteries, cables and easy sync make it a easy to gig solution. It's also a very small footprint. Can easy fit in a guitar case accessory pocket.
