Includes ATW-R310D receiver and ATW-T341D handheld cardioid dynamic microphone/transmitter.
Overview
AT's new pro UHF wireless features 200 selectable frequencies, true diversity technology, soft-touch controls for quick, easy access to the most important functions during set-up and operation, AudioTechnica's Digital Tone Lock(r) Squelch plus an easy-to-read LCD in each unit. The all-metal receiver features XLR and 1/4 in. unbalanced outputs and an advanced display with a transmitter battery-life fuel gauge and a meter hold setting function -- great for setup or sound check. This handheld mic system features the same dynamic capsule as the critically-acclaimed Artist Elite AE4100 microphone, providing a focused vocal pickup while offering superior gain-before-feedback. In addition, the transmitter has dual-power settings permitting selection of high for maximum range or low for extended battery life (up to 10 hours).
Features:
200 PLL-synthesized channels selectable via soft-touch controls on receiver and transmitter
True Diversity operation selects the better signal from two independent receiver sections, reducing dropouts
Interference-resistant UHF band operation
Advanced digital ToneLock squelch
Red alert light that warns of low battery power, signal loss and input overload
Transmitter battery-life fuel gauge on the receiver
Ground-lift switch
Balanced and unbalanced audio output jacks
2 receivers can be mounted side-by-side in a single 19 in. rack space

Sound
The quality of the microphone element is acceptable. Reception is a little noisy, but the consistency and range of reception is fantastic. Better than my more expensive Shure. The metal case (some manufacturer's use plastic) helps reject unwanted noise.
Features
Virtually unlimited channels (more than you'll ever need). Some local TV will interfere with specific frequencies, so if you pick up a UHF TV station, just choose one of the other hundreds available. I don't like the frequency changing procedure. I like the removable antena. AT says you can install your antena in a remote location by using high quality antena cable. This is excellent for installed applications, or if you want to run antena to the outside of a larger case. Again, some models for the same price or more don't have this feature. I don't like the location and functionality of the mute/power button. I can't tell you how many times a fidgety best man has accidentally muted himself just before the toast. Once they hit that button on the bottom of the handset, they'll never, ever find it to turn it back on. Inevitably I end up running over to fix the problem myself. As a general rule, I don't like multi-function buttons. In this case, holding mute for 3 seconds will turn the power off. The problem is the mic "remembers" if the mute was set before the last power off. Many times I have accidentally muted the mic while trying to turn it off. Then… read more later, when I need to get in a quick witty word, I turn on the mic by holding the mute for 3 seconds, begin to speak and there's no sound. I check the volume ...no problem there, it must be the mute. By the time I figure it out and get it un-muted, the moment has passed. So I hang my head low and put the mic back down on the table. This problem would go away completely with one button per function.
Quality
Seems very rugged because of the metal case and removable antena.
Value
Great value.
The Wow Factor
It looks very professional.
