The Alvarez ADM66CEAR Artist Elite is a lively dreadnought and delivers a warm, focused tone from its all-mahogany construction. Its understated cosmetics make for a classy looking guitar, augmented by Alvarez's standard width bevel-armrest made from ebony.

Master Luthiers around the world have been crafting bevel edged armrest guitars for many years. The feature not only makes the guitar more comfortable to play, but also allows the maker to demonstrate their skill and craftsmanship in producing beautiful instruments.

After 50 years of making guitars, continual improvement through the use of emerging technologies, processes, and materials is still at the heart of Alvarez's culture. Alvarez guitars are constructed correctly in every sense from raw material preparation to construction and manufacturing processes. Their tone woods are carefully cured; the components such as neck blocks and wood joints are carefully designed. The painting, sanding and polishing techniques they use are continually researched and developed, and their tone is impeccably crafted and married to a stable, designed and lively sound box.

The term "solid top" of course refers to the soundboard of an acoustic guitar being made of solid wood, rather than being laminated. However, just because the top is solid, it does not necessarily mean the sound automatically benefits from this feature. The tone of the instrument only improves significantly when the whole guitar is built correctly to optimize the energy read more a solid soundboard can generate. Artist Series is built to do exactly this.

Each model is designed to get the best out of its components, and for them to work together to produce balanced, lively projection and great response. These components include bracing architecture that is specifically designed for each body shape or tonal requirement. Alvarez's bi-level bridge is designed to heighten string tension and improve sustain and response. Real bone nut and saddle, premium tone woods and their crafted attenuated finish all further the quality of construction and positively impact the performance of the instrument.

This caring approach to development comes from one simple goal: To deliver the best guitars in the market at every price point, instruments that are truly amazing value and offer a fantastic player experience.

In conceptualizing Artist Elite, the goal over at Alvarez was simple: "Produce a collection of guitars beyond comparison".

Being a newer player, I went to demo a bunch of acoustic guitars in this price range with no preconceived notions of what I wanted to buy. At the time, I knew very little about Alvarez. After trying 15 or so guitars, I couldn't help but notice that the Artist Elite felt like it was mislabel in terms of price tag as the guitar truly was in a class of its own at this price point. Now that I have it, everything about the guitar is top notch. Killer Dread-Hog lows but with surprisingly clear highs. Outstanding guitar ad I'd buy it again if I went through the same buying process
