What's special about this item?

Feature: What it does:
Solid cedar top Mellow, nuanced, responsive tone
Ziricote back and sides Lovely grain, pronounced lows and highs
Mahogany neck Great sustain, strength, and warm tone
Indian rosewood fretboard Rich lows, pronounced treble, and clear midrange

The Alhambra 4-Z was already an exceptional guitar when, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Alhambra Guitars, it was remodeled to create a truly unique instrument. The most important feature of this guitar is the singularly beautiful wood: the back and sides are made from Ziricote (Cordia dodecandra).

This wood produces a deep and warm sound that could be described as reminiscent of Spain itself. Although each guitar is always one of a kind, this is especially true in this model; it is much easier to notice the difference between one Iberia Ziricote and another. It has been designed with a narrow neck which is made from mahogany.
