There's only one more step before you are able to start earning commissions... you've got to link to zZounds from your website, social media accounts, etc.
The most important part of your links to zZounds is your affiliate ID being properly placed within all links. This is what we use to know a click/sale came from your links.
General Links to zZounds
IMPORTANT: The a--XXXX is what gives you credit for the sale, so make sure to link exactly as specified. Notice this includes two dashes, which must be preserved and not changed into a single dash. Microsoft Word, other word processing programs, and text editing programs (Notepad, Notes, etc.) will frequently auto change the two dashes into a single dash. DOUBLE CHECK to make sure the two dashes does not get changed, as your getting credit for sales depends on this being correctly formatted as shown above.

Website Links to zZounds
Most website management platforms make adding links fast and easy. Just highlight the text you want to create a link out of, click the "create a link" icon, and add the link you want behind the text.
If you're hand coding a website text link, you probably already know how to properly code an HTML text link, but just in case you do not, it should look like this:
<a href="https://www.zzounds.com/a--XXXX" rel="nofollow">Text Linking to zZounds Goes Here</a>
Notice (rel="nofollow"). When formatting website links to zZounds, whether you're hand coding your links or whether you're using the link creator within a website management system, we ask that you always incorporate the (rel="nofollow") element in the HTML statement of the link. This helps google, and other search engines, identify the link as an affiliate link. This factors into both your and our PageRank value as well as other SEO (Search Engine Optimization) values.
Here is what a website link to a product page would look like that includes the (rel="nofollow") parameter:
<a href="https://www.zzounds.com/a--XXXX/item--FEN0144502" rel="nofollow">Fender Stratocaster</a>
Advanced Links to zZounds
We provide advanced linking capabilities for those who want to have more granular visibility into the performance of their links. This advanced linking capability takes the form of an optional subsite ID parameter that can be added into any URL along with your unique affiliate code parameter.
Anytime you use a subsite ID parameter in your links, you can view the granular reporting on those links within the "Daily/Monthly subsite tracking report" that is found in the "Reports" left navigation of your affiliate portal home page.
Here is an example of how you might decide to use subsite ID to track the performance of your links on a granular level...
Let's say you're going to create an affiliate link to the following item on zZounds: https://www.zzounds.com/item--EPIEIFB
You already know that you must add your unique affiliate code parameter ( a--XXXX ) to
this link so you get credit for all clicks/sales: https://www.zzounds.com/a--XXXX/item--EPIEIFB
You plan to post your affiliate link on your Facebook, YouTube and Twitter accounts, and you want to know which of those three locations you post the link result in the most clicks and the most sales. This is where subsite ID can assist.
Subsite ID parameters look like this: /sid--whatever/
To add unique subsite IDs to this affiliate link for each of the three social channels you will post it on, your links would look like this:
https://www.zzounds.com/a--XXXX/sid--facebookEPIEIFB/item--EPIEIFB
https://www.zzounds.com/a--XXXX/sid--youtubeEPIEIFB/item--EPIEIFB
https://www.zzounds.com/a--XXXX/sid--twitterEPIEIFB/item--EPIEIFB
Similar to your affiliate ID, you always must have two dashes in between sid and whatever the word(s) you want to list after the two dashes.
Also, never include spaces in the word(s) you decide to enter after sid and the two dashes.
After using subsite ID parameters in your links like the examples above, you'll be able to see in your affiliate reporting which of those links from different social channels received the most clicks and the most sales.
