Overview
Note: JBL SRX900 speakers ship without a power cable. Connectors are included in the box for building your own power or jumper cable.
The SRX900 Series embodies the advanced performance principles that drive JBL's development of audio products that make a real difference in the world of professional audio. This family of powered line arrays and subwoofers addresses the growing need for affordable, scalable small and medium-format professional sound-reinforcement solutions. It's ideal for rental companies, fixed installations and musicians seeking the ultimate combination of performance and portability.
The SRX900 Series' outstanding sonic performance is based on time-tested JBL technologies. Custom-engineered and manufactured, high-power-handling transducers deliver extremely low distortion, high fidelity and class-leading output.
Precision waveguides provide accurate pattern control for intelligibility and definition that are unmatched in this category. A full suite of user-configurable DSP and design-and-management software tools provides hands-on control from a computer or mobile device, making design, deployment and control a breeze.
SRX900's cabinet architecture is thoughtfully engineered for easy handling, fast rigging, minimal space displacement and streamlined transport.
The family includes dual 6.5-inch and dual 10-inch powered line array loudspeakers and 18-inch and dual 18-inch powered subwoofers. Because these systems are scalable and affordable, users can… read more start with a small investment and expand over time.
All SRX900 models work seamlessly with other JBL touring PA systems. Whether you're expanding your inventory or building a system from the ground up, count on JBL SRX900 Series powered line arrays to deliver the power and performance you expect from the leader in professional sound-reinforcement technology.
- High-power-handling transducers deliver extremely low distortion, high fidelity and class-leading output
- Precision waveguides provide exact pattern control
- User-controllable DSP includes 24-band parametric EQ, delay, JBL Array Size Compensation and FIR-based Throw Distance Compensation filters
- LevelMax limiting uses sophisticated excursion-control algorithms to protect transducers from mechanical damage
- Integrated into JBL Performance, Line Array Calculator 3 and Array Link applications
- Radiation Boundary Integrator (RBI) mounts transducers on a single horn, improving horizontal directivity while minimizing cabinet size
- Differential Drive dual-voicecoil, dual-gap woofer design delivers better heat dissipation, lower power compression and wider dynamic range than single-coil designs
- Built-in, passively cooled Class D amplification
- Rear-panel LCD provides complete access to control features
- Dual Neutrik etherCON connectors
- Supports HARMAN HControl ethernet protocol for improved network performance and simplified network management
- Innovative three-point rigging system makes suspending systems easy and safe, regardless of system size or user experience level
- Reinforced composite loudspeaker enclosures and 18mm plywood subwoofer enclosures are acoustically optimized and designed for a clean, modern look
- Enclosed side panels with integrated handles simplify storage and transport
- Available accessories include array frames, pole-mount and truss-clamp adapters, cases, carts and covers
- Universal power supply
In place of a finished cable, each speaker ships with two bare Neutrik connector ends: one female connector that mates with the Inlet, and one male connector that mates with the Outlet. JBL has shipped two generations of these connectors across the SRX900 line, so check your model's spec sheet or the SRX900 manual for the exact part numbers in your box.
To daisy-chain cabinets from a single feed, build jumpers with the male connector on one end (from the upstream cabinet's Outlet) and a female connector on the other (into the next cabinet's Inlet). Because every cabinet includes one of each, a chain of any length has exactly the connectors it needs.
powerCON TRUE1 is rated 20 A at 250 VAC in the US. Consult the SRX900 manual's current-draw tables before deciding how many cabinets to run from one circuit.

Note: JBL SRX900 Speakers Ship Without a Power Cable
Each JBL SRX900 cabinet has two Neutrik powerCON TRUE1 chassis connectors: an Inlet to power that speaker, and an Outlet to loop power through to the next cabinet. The Inlet also serves as the mains on/off switch -- there is no separate power switch.
To Make Your Own Power Cable
Build a cable with the included female connector on one end and the mains plug for your location on the other (in the US, a standard Edison NEMA 5-15P, or a 20 A connector if your venue has 20 A service). Both included connectors use screw terminals, so no soldering is required. Wire the connector carefully and double-check it before applying power -- miswiring the power connector can damage the speaker's input board. The SRX900 power supply is universal and runs on 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.To daisy-chain cabinets from a single feed, build jumpers with the male connector on one end (from the upstream cabinet's Outlet) and a female connector on the other (into the next cabinet's Inlet). Because every cabinet includes one of each, a chain of any length has exactly the connectors it needs.
powerCON TRUE1 is rated 20 A at 250 VAC in the US. Consult the SRX900 manual's current-draw tables before deciding how many cabinets to run from one circuit.
To Buy a Ready-Made Power Cable
Look for a cable with a female powerCON TRUE1 end and your local mains plug (such as Edison/NEMA 5-15P) on the other. Neutrik's current part is the NAC3F-TRUE1-S; cables built with the earlier NAC3FX-W-TOP mate with the same Inlet and work identically, since the newer part is Neutrik's direct replacement for it.
