i bought this Affinity model to gig/record with, believe it or not. i"ve been playing, semi-pro, and pro. actively for over twenty years now. {(rock, blues, country, gospel. etc...). i can buy any bass i want. i"ve owned and played numerous basses. These Affinity basses, have come full circle in craftmanship , and playability. They are thin. light, and very pleasing to the eyes, i just flat love playing them! And they are extremeiy durable, even though, their parts are not as heavy duty as the Fender basses. The ceramic pickups. are just as good as the Alnico pickups. (hotter). they are just cheaper to make, is all. Price is not an issue with me. if a bass is well built, and sounds great. it is the one for me. And this one of those basses.
