I recently picked up the Taylor 214ce-K V2 and I can't say enough good things about it. This guitar is flat out gorgeous. The layered koa back and sides paired with the sitka spruce top give it a look that punches well above its price point. It's the kind of instrument that turns heads before you even play a note. But where it really shines is the sound. The tone on this thing is absolutely brilliant. Clear, balanced, and rich with that warmth koa is known for. Plugged in, the ES2 electronics do a great job of keeping that natural acoustic character intact, which matters a ton to me as a gigging musician. Whether I'm playing a small venue or a louder room, this guitar cuts through and delivers every single time. I never have to fight it to get the sound I want out of it.And I have to talk about the Aerocase that comes with it. If you've ever worried about tossing a nice guitar in a gig bag and just hoping for the best, this case solves that problem. It's crazy lightweight, which is a lifesaver when you're hauling gear in and out of venues all night, but it gives you real protection that a standard gig bag just can't. It's the perfect middle ground between a bulky hardshell and a flimsy bag.If you're a working musician looking for a great sounding, great looking acoustic that's ready to hit the road, the 214ce-K V2 with the Aerocase is a no brainer. Taylor absolutely nailed it with this one.
