G2.1u: Taking multi-effects to the next level Conventional floor-type multi-effect processors are designed to sound good when they are plugged into a guitar amp. Modeling processors are designed for recording in line. Until now, there was no product that could handle both scenarios with equal finesse. Learn More...

Description

Solid metal, three pedals for fast effect access, and an expression pedal. The GFX-3 has tons of patches, cab simulations, and an expression pedal taking it to the next level.

It has 10 amp modeling types and 10 different distortion types. With that users can enjoy the realistic drive of various tube amps, from vintage combo to modern high-gain. Choose from two variations, standard and classic, to get a 60s and 70s sound. The GFX-3 offers 50 effects in various categories including dynamics, drive, modulation, and ambience. All the standard effects for guitar are there, plus some unconventional ones. The front panel expression pedal is a great tool for any stage performance. Not only does it adjust Volume, Wah, and Pitch, it also controls distortion effect gain, modulation speed, and reverb mix. 60 great presets come loaded right out of the box, and there are 60 user memory slots available.

Most pedals today, especially in this price range, are made of plastic. Not this pedal. The metal chassis of the GFX-3 can withstand the rigors of the road, stage or in the studio, traveling in the gig bag or the back of the bus. Build quality and stability are first-rate. The jacks are mounted to the chassis with retaining nuts, protecting internal circuitry. Even if a jack should be accidentally tugged or stepped on, GFX Pedals can take it.

Zoom GFX3 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal Reviews

"Great pedal, great price"
Feature:
The only thing keeping this from getting a 10 is that it didn't come with an AV cable so I had to buy one separately. Other then that it had everything I needed and has yet to disappoint me as i never run out of options.

Quality:
The metal frame and large pedals are both sturdy and tough. I have dropped the pedal before and it made it out with only a few smudges and still played like it was new. The thing can take a beating.

Value:
I managed to get mine for $250 a couple years back but i think it is well worth it and more.

Desirability:
I saw this on a website and immediately wanted it. I like the color scheme as well.

Sound:
It sounded great and I have used it for a number of live concerts without any problems. One thing it could use some help on is that some of the distortions it uses seem like nothing but fuzz making it hard to hear anything. Other then that I loved it.

Ease of Use:
Plug and play really. If all you use are the pre-sets then it's relatively simple. If you want to use the patches etc. It can get a bit complicate but it's never too hard to figure out.

Support:
Never had to use it and never plan to but I'm sure it would be good.

Overall:
I don't see myself ever being dissatisfied until the thing breaks. If you are looking for an inexpensive pedal that to an extent sounds like an expensive one then this is the pedal to buy. It has a number of options that anyone can find appealing.

"Definitely Get it"
Feature:
This is a great product for number of features, it has all you could ask for and more.I dont think there is a single sound you could name that couldnt be either found or created using the easy controls.

Quality:
The product is built like a brick, a tough metal chassis and hard as rock buttons make this a pedal even the wylde one wouldnt be afraid to stomp.

Value:
This product is a steal at the price i got it at. And that was quite a while ago, by now it may have come down and become an even greater pinch.

Desirability:
This item is hot, its not in a crap colour (the gfx1 was) adn the rubber finish with the design looks awesome.

Sound:
I really like the sound that i can achieve with this pedal, i use in in with either my yamaha 112 or my ibanez rg350ex, throught my laney hcm50. It gets a great blues rock tone that i use for gary more and the wah section is great for any hendrix lovers.

Ease of Use:
From plugging the fx-unit is you can get straight into playing. Using the manual you can see which pre-sets are available, they cater for all tastes.

Support:
I havent needed it, but im gonna assume its good.

Overall:
I will be holding on to this for a long time to come. I would proboably add a dunlop crybaby to vary both wah and distortion simultaneously.
